What this world needs is a fresh dose of the fear of the Lord.

 Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

We live in a crazy world. The news seems to be full of chaos. The whole world seems consumed with voices screaming about "their rights." 

Just because they have been wronged (or perceive that they have been wronged), they feel that they have the right to riot, rape, destroy property, disrespect and threaten law enforcement, and even murder people. People who, most of the time, had nothing to do with the wrongs these people are protesting about. But, I guess it's okay to do wrong to other people simply because you have been wronged. 

The educated and enlightened among us pipe in and say these people should not be prosecuted. After all, they've been wronged. They have a right to protest in the Constitution. Never mind that while the Constitution allows free speech and "peaceful" protests, it does not allow for violent protests. 

The liberal elite among us basically tell us that abortion is moral, LGBTQ is normal, people are not born men or women but have the right to change their gender, all workers should be paid the same regardless of their workload or effort, it is not our responsibility to work and care for our families- rather it's the Government's job to take care of all of us, and on and on it goes.

We have a whole political movement that basically says that every religion is okay- except Christians and Jews. Everything should be allowed, except the voices of those that point out God and his ways. 

Basically, the world has flipped its collective lids. Right is wrong, wrong is right, and whatever is gray, have a happy day! 

The reason all this goes on now is that we, as a society, have thrust God out of our lives and ceased to fear him. 

Now brother, you say, God doesn't want us to fear him. After all, he's all about love. 

Really, let's look at what Jesus said about this:

Luke 12:4-5

King James Version

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

So, Jesus says we should fear God. 

Now, brother, you say, that doesn't mean fear. That really means respect. 

The word for fear in verse 5 in the Greek means, "to put to flight by terrifying (to scare away)

1. to put to flight, to flee

2. to fear, be afraid

   1. to be struck with fear, to be seized with alarm

      1. of those startled by strange sights or occurrences

      2. of those struck with amazement

   2. to fear, be afraid of one

   3. to fear (i.e. hesitate) to do something (for fear of harm)

3. to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience                                                                                                                                                                          Does this sound like simply respecting God? It basically means we are to cower in fear before his awesome might and power.  We are to understand that HE makes the rules and HE is the judge of all of us. It is HE that will send us to heaven or hell for eternity. And that fear should cause us to willingly defer our will to his and be willing to obey HIS will for our lives as found in his word.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Our country was founded on the Bible. Our Constitution was based upon the Bible. Our laws were based upon the word of God. But, we have turned from this and we are reaping what we've sewn.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                If our nation is to stand, it is because we, as a people, repent and turn back to God. This will only happen when we realize that we are not the arbiters of our own fate, We are not the ultimate authority for our own lives. There is someone that we will all have to answer to one day- he is our creator and savior (if we allow him to save us). If not, then he is our creator and judge.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             He will decide our fates based upon our obedience, or our disobedience.                                                                                                                                                                       If we will kneel in complete repentance and submission to him, then we will be able to stand in the face of the evil that is overcoming our land and push it back.                                                                                                                                                                        If we do not repent, then our country will cease to be and worse: we ourselves will go to hell.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. True wisdom doesn't come from college degrees and education. True wisdom comes from the Lord God almighty and his word.                                                                                                                                                 Truly, the only hope that we, as individuals and we, as a country, have is Jesus. But, for this to happen, we all need to repent and obey him and his word- before it's too late. And for that to happen, we need a fresh dose of the fear of the Lord!                                                                                                                                                                                      Lord, please do whatever you need to do to wake us all up, restore our fear of you, and help us to repent. Before it's too late.

America better take heed!

Isaiah 5:18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:

19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

We are living in a very sad day. 

It used to be that righteousness and peace were the law of the land. People used to care about each other. People used to know right from wrong. Wrongdoers used to be prosecuted in order to keep the righteous safe. Poor folks used to be helped by their neighbors and their churches rather than being told to go and sign up for a government-controlled handout. Men were willing to work to care for their families and women were willing to be good mothers and wives. Businesses looked to hire and train men of good character rather than looking for someone who just connects the dots they want to be connected. 

Rioting was nearly unheard of. Treating people as equals was expected. People working for their living was the norm as was helping your neighbor. 

Not anymore. 

Now, the culture has been inundated with a me-first attitude. We are told that we should allow what God says is an abomination as normal. People who are struggling are turned away by "God's people" and told to go and sign up for Government help. Men who want to work are turned away because they don't exactly line up with the job qualifications. Employers can't be bothered to train good workers anymore. 

People don't want to protest and sign petitions to right wrongs anymore. Rather, they want to riot and destroy other people's lives. Please tell me how in the world that solves any of the underlying issues? 

Congress passes laws they say are meant to "help" the people. Yet, a careful examination of the laws shows that what they actually passed was something designed to subvert our Constitution and destroy our liberties. And the media pats these evil people on the back for doing it. 

And the masses truly don't care because all they want to do is "eat, drink, and be merry." As long as the party goes on, they don't care about the wrongs of our society. In fact, they endorse them because they believe it makes things better for them!

Noone cares about aborted babies. No one cries for the homeless. No one weeps for the needy that don't know where their next meal will come from. Who cares that millions of illegals are taking jobs that legal citizens should hold? Who cares about the tears of families whose livelihood has been destroyed by riots about a death that was wrong, but was twisted into something meant to cause riots? 

Pastors teach and preach love from their pulpits, but ignore God's judgment of sin so people keep partying on their way to hell- thinking they're alright with God. 

Churches would rather move their congregation than reach out to the hurting masses that surround them. 

God is looking for intercessors! 

God is looking for people who will hit their faces and cry out to the only one who can fix our problems- Jesus Christ!

I pledge to pray! 

Every day, several times a day, I will seek my Lord and cry out for the iniquities of our land. 

He said if we will humble ourselves and pray, repent of our wicked ways, he will heal our lands. 

Come on, people. Pray!!!! If you've never prayed before, now is the time. If you've grown lax in your prayers, today is the day to start over. All people everywhere need to pray as if our country, our communities, and our very lives depend on it. 

Because it does.

America is in the hands of an angry God. The only hope we have is to repent and turn back to him. If we do not, America will go down in flames. 

And don't say it won't happen. 

If he'd take down his people, ancient Israel, he'll take us out too. They went down because of their sins. We will, too.

Every "great civilization" that rose up in the past has fallen. Rome did. Greece did. Great Britain once controlled 1/3 of the world. Now they're reduced to a small bit near Europe. Don't tell me God won't do it to us.

But America has done so much good for the world!

Yet, she's done much evil, too. God doesn't wink at our evil because we do good things.

He's serious. He's angry. And his judgment is even now beginning to fall. 

We had better fall on our faces and pray. 

Today. Right now.

Or we may not be able to in the very near future. 

Man's trash is God's precious treasure.

Humans love flashy things. Humans really enjoy pretty things.

Many have been the young people who have struggled with their self worth because they (in their own mind) do not measure up to the standards that Hollywierd, magazines, and the music industry say that they should.

Many are the husbands and wives who hang their heads in shame because their spouse doesn't think they are pretty enough, successful enough, or whatever other arbitrary standards they may expect them to meet.

Most of us are aware of these situations, but how about this one?

MANY are the Christians who are truly Acts 2:38 born again but were not raised up in Apostolic truth. They have sorted events in their past, but they lose the joy of their salvation because the Apostolic church looks down on them for the very pasts that Jesus died to forgive them for!

They are told "We love you. God loves you. He wants you to be born again and become a part of his bride." All of this is true!

Yet, somehow, after their new birth, they begin to receive subtle signals from the "in crowd" of the church. They are accepted as long as they show up to the church, support the church with their money and physical efforts, and do as their told. But, when the spirit really begins to move on them, watch out! When God begins to call them to sing for him, teach for him, preach for him, all of a sudden they are told, in essence, "you ain't good enough!"

Rather than being encouraged to follow the leading of the Lord, they are discouraged because they don't have a spotless past. Therefore, the religious Apostolic establishment looks down their long noses at them and tries to make them get back in their spot and shut their mouths.

They soon realize that the only thing the established church really wants them for is to be a number on the pew, financially support the "work of God," and be a worker ant when something needs to be done around the church building. They are to leave the "work of God," to the truly holy people of God. Their testimony is not needed or wanted by these people that supposedly love them. Their gifts and callings are not wanted unless the all-knowing "leadership" decides to call them out.

I have a word for the church. YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR MISTREATMENT OF GOD'S LAMBS. The ones you look down on (with your attitude) as being less than you because of your long line of Apostolic pedigree, are the very ones Jesus died for to make them spotless!

You've become so caught up in "your holiness," that you cannot see the hurt and pain you cause. You are so caught up in who you are, that you look down on those that you claim to minister to.

If some of them leave your church (due to how they've been treated), you call them backsliders. If they try to start another work to help others who've been wounded like they were, you do everything in your power to destroy their reputations and call them cancer. And you use the very past that God redeemed them from to do it!

Shame on you! You have become a pit of vipers! REPENT, before it is too late!

And a word to the masses that have been wounded.

God does love you! God WILL use you! Start looking for others like yourself. The Apostolic doctrines of One God, Acts 2:38 salvation, and holiness are true. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Hold on to the truth. Find each other and do what the organized church refuses to do: love each other and help to heal each other.

And once your sufficiently healed from your wounds, reach out to a lost and dying world with the love of God. Reach out to others who are in the same boat the church put you in, and help to heal them, too.

Remember, Man's trash is God's precious treasure.

He chose Israel because they were THE LEAST, not because they were the greatest. The word of God is FULL of people who were truly bad people and God changed their lives for the betterment of millions of people!

Moses was a murderer, but God used him to deliver a nation.

David was an adulterer, but God used him to slay the evil nations around him and solidify his kingdom.

Matthew was a turncoat and a tax collector for an evil regime, but he left it all behind to become one of the Apostles of Jesus!

Saul was a religious zealot who ordered the deaths of multitudes of Christians, but he became the greatest evangelist in history when God met him on the road to Damascus.

John Mark left the mission field, but came back and wound up writing the gospel of Mark!

The list goes on and on.

Don't let folks tell you that you are not good enough for God to use! When you are born again, the scripture declares that "ALL things are made new!"

The past that the religious elite tries to use against you is GONE! It has been washed away by the blood of Jesus!

If you've fallen since you were born again, the scripture declares that if you repent, he will "cleanse you of ALL unrighteousness." So repent, get up, and go on for Jesus.

Don't let the organized church grind you to dust. Get up and BE the church.

The end-time revival won't come from the organized church. Instead, it will come from the true church that simply loves and lets God use them how he sees fit.

You are NOT trash! You are God's precious treasure!

You are bought with a price. Let your owner use you how he sees fit.

Exodus 4:11
